Once again your superb weathering techniques are showing.

As for the hobby, most wargamers are adults these days. Many youngsters seem to mostly stick to playing video games.
For me the hobby is an outlet as well, a way to relieve stress and lose myself in for a limited time.
What's different for le is how I actually get a lot of support.
My kids are too young, but interested anyway, my wife encourages my creativity and most of my friends are in the hobby (wargames, computer games or RPG's) as well. I don't think my parents really care as long as I'm happy and healthy. Though I have to admit I spend far to much money on stuff I actually don't need but looks good. Something my wife rightfully complains at from time to time.

I know life isn't treating you fair, but I admire how you always manage to keep your head up. Sometimes get strength from the little things.
Hang in there and get better soon!Wouterhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17271989973988511989noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2754746529923019195.post-77389057057416658412016-06-21T21:53:43.749+02:002016-06-21T21:53:43.749+02:00Well I'm 37 and I still wargame, build models ...Well I'm 37 and I still wargame, build models in many different scales and, somewhat surprisingly, actually manage to finish quite a few these days. I've never felt that my hobbies in any way something that I shouldn't do as an adult. Admittedly I mainly stick to historically based projects but that reflects my love of history rather than anything else.

My hobbies always been a good outlet for stress for me and it usually doesn't do me any good if I loose my focus as I've then nothing to get rid of that stress. Thankfully my hobbies not viewed negatively by my family but I can understand how it could be an issue when money's tight (for me that was a good excuse to finish off existing projects rather than start new ones I couldn't afford).

Being married to someone who suffers with clinical depression I have some understanding of this illness from a carers point of view so I really do hope you recover quickly.

Cheers
RichardRichard Naylorhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09411439028149060147noreply@blogger.com
