It's good enough. All of the bases have now been Thymed. I ordered a big bag of the stuff for future needs as it is pretty good scatter.
41 bases done. Once it has all dried and the excess removed, into the box they go and grab the next unfinished project and repeat.
A nice mix of sizes so they work for a lot of things. I am happy it is done. I have way too many things languishing in a box cause the enthusiasm is gone. But if I push myself just a little bit and sit at the table while the girls are doing their homework, an hour here or an hour there gets shit done. The 2 a week hobby nights are the cherry on top.

Those look fantastic, and especially having them all together - that's a proper forest.
BeantwoordenVerwijderenOnce mixed up with other vegetation I do hope so. On a 6x4 this is a paltry amount.
VerwijderenYou succeeded where I failed making the plastic plants look like proper bamboo! I threw away my attempt and with the bamboo skewers with vegetation atop. I was taking to my girlfriend about your use of thyme. She brought over a sprinkling of thyme, oregano, and some other herb. Your thyme looks better on the bases than it did on paper towel she showed me...haha! Oh, looks like the daughters are enjoying hobby time with dad! :)
BeantwoordenVerwijderenDo give it another try then. You can most certainly improve on these, but time Vs effort combined with no stamina, these are good enough.
VerwijderenI need to do this more often with the girls, gives them a chance to ask questions as well or tell more about their day.
