Well, after 100 hours in I'm getting fail after fail after fail.
I keep cleaning the nozzle, washed the build plate, calibrated again, removed the filamant and put in a fresh roll of brand new filament as the last print was very fuzzy and even just ordered a filament dryer to be delivered somewhere this week as humidity might be an issue.
Starting to feel like life before and after marriage this....
Yet another test run. So far all today failed within 10 minutes, so jay....
Hi, here's some things that may be your problem, or not. :)
BeantwoordenVerwijderenAre you getting any errors after you slice? Have you let the slicer choose the supports? Have you tried using a raft? Is your plate clean and free of oil from fingers?
No errors after slice, printing items that don't need supports, the previous prints of the same item came out fine without them. Adhesion isn't the problem, they just fail and I can't figure out why.Had 2 more failures, one after 10 minutes and the other with the end in sight. The nozzle just stops extruding and from the sound I can hear it is not feeding. If I stop the print and test the extruder....it comes out just fine. For the last 2 prints I've even washed and cleaned the plate, but again , adhesion to the plate does not seem to be the issue.
VerwijderenThat's really strange. But since the filament comes out okay during the test, that makes me think the problem must be somewhere in your slicer settings. Did you remember to change the nozzle setting from .04 to .02? Otherwise, see if someone more technical than I can have a look at your settings. The Bambu Labs forum can be helpful sometimes with explaining all the mysteries of slicer settings.
BeantwoordenVerwijderenSlicer is still on the 0,4 nozzle and everything is printed with 0,2 layer lines. I did 10 more prints today. 3 single items all worked fine, 7 tests with 2-4 items all failed. At different levels even for the same item. There seems to be no logic to it. I even resorted to a factory reset, a full calibration with all the bells and whistles and it just keeps failing over and over again. I've spent the entire weekend on this getting almost nothing but failed prints and I'm pretty pissed off by now. I see people online with sort of the same issue, but those are always about adhesion problems ...and I have no issues with that.
VerwijderenOh heck, it's Monday? So I spent 3 days on this now....cmon...
VerwijderenI seem to recall you printing with the .02mm nozzle, are you using the .04? If so, then I'm at a loss and can only recommend visiting the Bambu forum. I'm sorry this is happening with you, I've survived Brexit by getting my A1 mini, so I hope you get things working soon.
BeantwoordenVerwijderenYes, I was cleaning the 0,2 cause it had clogged. Then dropped it cause my hand had one of my more and more common lapses. That is now destroyed and I ordered spares of the 0,2 and 0,4. Should be here this week. And it's ok, better have a big issue now and get it fixed instead of 3 months in. Is what I keep telling myself.
VerwijderenThat's right, I remember now. I was thinking it was the .04 you had dropped. I really wish I could help you, but I'm out of ideas. I thought for sure it must have been the wrong setting on the nozzle, but alas I was wrong.
BeantwoordenVerwijderenI've had luck with just replacing the nozzle. I find if you have an high temperature event (like filament stops feedings and just cooks in the nozzle) the burnt stuff is almost impossible to properly remove and you end up with under extrusion and jamming issue. It tends to be erratic as well. I read that nozzles should be considered a disposeable/replaceable item so err on the side of pitching them when you have poor results.
