Warbases Groundsman's Hut WW2-GMH Built and upgraded WIP

 Took some time today to build this after putting the kids to bed. Small, simple, quick to build. Covered the roof with card for another tinned roof and added a doorknob to the door. Should all have set by tomorrow, will prime it and get the basics done I think. Might even finish it on old year's eve, kids will be at Kim's place and I'm in no shape to go out and do anything, really.

I'm aiming for this "paintjob". Roof will either be rusted tin of weathered asbestos fibre.

Whether it will look anything like this....we will see.

Three huts make a village

 Just finished the 2 other huts for 15mm Nam'68 and AK-47. Done and dusted, taking a break for a few days as tomorrow I'll pick up the girls at Kim's place and focus on them....with plenty of hobby time at the dinner table.

These were fun to do. Not every bit is easy to get to with a brush, but the overall look with the added tin roof is just how I like it.

Might invest in a Community House someday, but first start with the set dressing for this village. Things like a pig sty, a couple of vegetable plots, other stuff I can't think of right now, some clumps of palms and regular trees and bushes.

As (almost) always, everything bought and paid for with my own money ....usually at Sales though!

First of the huts painted (Sarissa Precision K506)

 Online painting night tonight, so grabbed the first hut and primed it at 20:00. Roof was quick as I can do this in my sleep now. Stuck to 2 colours and water. The hut itself though.....

European wood....faded grey. Easy enough. Jungle wood seems to look a lot more vibrant but after looking at half a dozen pics on my phone I just started with a brown wash over the grey primer and try a few things. The end result is what you see now, and I stopped the clock on 22:30. I want to do the other 2 tomorrow, but in less time.

I just realised I seem to have misplaced the stairs....but not sure I actually miss it. If I can find them I'll add them.

It currently retails for 11,95 Euros . I Purchased this in November 2023 with my own money, no freebies here. (yes, it took me a year to get it built and painted......we all know how that goes)

Layover in Oosterhout - reference pics for weathering

 I visited a friend today and took a break enroute to rest my knees, back and everything else that hurts these days (I'm getting old and I have not even hit 50 yet. Joy) and just parked on what Brits would call an Industrial estate. I spotted a nice crane next to the canal but that was so fenced off I could not get any shots of it, so made the best of the surroundings to get me more reference shots of all of the weathering.

And a more annoying little thing.....Firefox is now actively blocking me from replying to your comments on my own Blog, claiming the embedded Google link isn't safe. But it does let me reply when using my phone, but I'm not a fan of holding and typing on my phone as it bloody hurts. Now trying to find a solution other than getting rid of Firefox and going over to Chrome.

More crates, and one of them is not like the others...

 Missed out on last nights online painting session due to a massive migraine, and my boardgame buddy dropped out tonight so grabbed some stuff on the table and got to work. In the end I only managed to finish a few more crates, and after putting them in the box with the rest of what I have painted sofar I really need to get going with making foam strips covered with tarp to quickly fill up a warehouse. My painting speeds is just to slow to get this box filled otherwise.

Still, pretty chuffed with these.

The white crate is for 0200 Hours. I tried to paint Eigentum der Wehrmacht, fucked up, and just added Streng Geheim. The joys of not breathing and using a 00 brush aka how to make your issues more severe....but at least the result is nice :)

Time to build some 15mm huts ( Sarissa Precision K505 )

 Time to start building something a bit more tropical. 90 minutes start to finish, 5 more kits to go (but not tonight). 15mm Sarissa Precision Planked style village house LOW K505 with a added tin sheet roof as this will pull double duty with my AK-47 collection. 

I want to try and build the remaining 5 this week, if I can keep this speed up that is 3 evenings and a bit of time in the weekend. Next week try and paint the lot.

S.T.A.L.K.E.R. can wait for a bit, I need to get the energy for that back.

Cyberpunk Coolers JPEGs for printing

 My head, like my hands, is a bit overtaxed, so did some low effort stuff and made a bunch of JPEGs of Cyberpunk Coolers to be printed off in the future for the Minimart etc.
