Hammer Time!

Just not in the way you would think.....

Years ago I liked this post on Reddit.

I liked it so much I wanted one for my Fallout gaming table. So I asked Patrick from Pat's Laser Cuttings if he could lasercut me a 28mm one after I sent him the details. And that he did.

As it always goes, I built it, but had issues with keeping it properly upright so after some bodging I got it to work. Primed it, painted it a little bit was stuck on how to get the text on.....and then into The Box TM it went in one of my many cleaning runs....

Out it came last week. I own a laserprinter these days so the lettering was 0 issue anymore. Some extra weathering, basing and done. Will work for my Modern, Post Apoc, Zombie and even my Cyberpunk table (if you visit a backwater). Yes, fun build this was.

50 Cent Challenge - yet another Sovjet Monument

Time again for another 50 cent (okay, with inflation 1 Euro) and another sports trophy. No idea which one as I quickly removed the label, and punched out some card for a circle and a star. Based it on a base and doesn't need much more, this is a nice all metal one so no need to worry much about toppling.

Quick paintjob and Boris is your Uncle as they say.....

Industrial equipment scatter tests

I'm trying out to see how quick I can churn out 20x20 based industrial equipment to populate certain buildings (os spaceships etc) using nothing but bits from my bits box. 20x20 bases from Renedra I have tons, so might as well use them. Also a good test for the coverage of the AK markers over a primer coat.

Will work for 28mm as well as 15mm.

Going over once already covers 90% of the primer layer, but a second coat made that 100%. It dries really quick so you can keep up the painting evenings tempo too.

Some sponging, a wash and you are basically there.

 The blue device

The green device

The orange device

Blue is made from some airtanks from a 1/24 truck kit, Green from another tank from a 1/24 truck kit and a bit from a 1/72 fighter aircraft cockpit and Orange from bits from a really old Revell Poseidon submarine. All resting quietly in my bits box where I just dump in scrap kits.

Sarissa Precision R044 Water Tower Brick Tower (28mm) finished

And another piece sorted for Zona Alfa. Sarissa Precison R044 Brick Water Tower.

I fixed the water tank to the top and drilled a hole in the underside so I can fit in a battery operated tea light. Some scratch built additions like the lamp and cabling. Fun little thing. The siren is a seperate piece I made aeons ago and fits very well on any sort of flat roof building. Enjoy!

Finish it! - Zona Alfa Nissen huts

Picked these up in May 2018, converted the 4 into 2 large ones and then into the Big Old Box they went. Fished them out last week, primed them and just finished them. Meant fro Zona Alfa but will be useful for Pulp etc .

I think these are from the Dust game, but not 100% sure.

A Monumental effort

This STL was released on Jul 25th 2026 and I printed off maybe a few hours later. Cleaned it up a bit, removed the kettle/bowl from the middle and worked my magic on it. Finished it last night but decided to sleep on it if it was really finished (spoiler: it was).

The file is a Pay as you please and can be found on Cults3D >>  Elven Totem

Printed at 0.08 layer height with a 0.4 nozzle on my Bambu A1

I paid 0 euros as I have been stung before by files like these, but it came out great and now that the model is done and dusted I'll be pinging 5 euros in his direction.

Tufts used this time are a very old yellow hay one that had no label, 12mm Grass Tufts Beige from Greenstuff World and Tall Shrubbery Yellow Green from Greenstuff World.

I've added the marking for some good loot stashed here, most likely buried in the centre (as we like things to be very obvious).

But is it really safe......?
