One size does not fit all

SPent Jan 1st with Kim dressed up as Breaking Bad characters, just for some protection against the itchy fibres. And it worked. A solid 4 hours job, stripping the roof etc of all of the old insulation, and I was ready for the sweet embrace of death afterwards. No fun at all.....but it is done.

Now the team is manually hauling up all the stuff they need, by hand, to the attic, poor sods. At least it is pretty cold outside so cooling down isn't a problem.

  1. I spent the last 6 month's on and off renovateing my brothers town house. I did not enjoy working with the insulation.

    1. I've abhorred the stuff every since helping out a truck driver that lost 2 big rolls from his trailer and he had asked me for a hand. Never again!

  2. Hahaha, that looks like fun 😁. But I can image you're glad it's over.
I handled a lot of this stuff back in the day when I was still working as a construction worker and I know how much it itches.

  3. Wow, that is a lot of work. On the plus side at least it was in panels, over here it would either be in rolls (so falling apart soft stuff) or blown in. Either way a ton more work to take it out.

I worked with some new rolls when we re did our office/hobby space, and it was not terrible? But certainly not great, and I sealed off the house and made the kids stay way.

    1. We were pretty happy to avoid further work with that material :)
